Wet Plate Studio

Hi, I'm Ade, I am a wet plate photographer based in South East London.

 Wet plate collodion is one of the earliest forms of photography from 1851 and makes pictures like no other. Using Victorian chemistry, real silver, and wonderful vintage lenses, it produces one-off portraits directly on to metal or glass. These images are unique and archival - they should last as heirlooms for centuries.  In an age of digital ease, it is stupidly complex, messy and hands on....and I think an utterly beautiful process and art form.

I am available for portraits in my modest studio, on location, and for events.
